THE LOST WORLD PROJECT
"That mountain, Roraima, haunted me for forty years"
Sir David Attenborough
After an arduous expedition, Sir Everard Im Thurn finally scaled the summit of South America's Mount Roraima in 1884. A 'strange country of nightmares', it didn't contain the dinosaurs the Victorians had hoped for, but an eerie moonscape of carnivorous plants, walking frogs and screeching Oilbirds.

In 2011, I worked on location as one of two cameraman contracted by NGO Ibex Earth, filming probable undescribed species on the summits of Roraima and adjacent Kukenan, a less-explored summit. The film was shown at the Royal Geographical Society on the 19th September 2011 and introduced by Sir Michael Palin.
